Yesterday I was down and out for the count – slept most of the day, on and off, and feel much better now.
Growing older – it’s a hero’s journey!
And today… I was supposed to do a piggyMoose run but haven’t heard from the person for 4 days now. 🙁 Not going to jump to conclusions… simply going to wait to be contacted again.

Plus it is something in the water? I’m seeing bunches of folks getting hugely jaded…. so I wrote:

Recently I’ve seen a number of folk in all sorts of niches yearning to return to the world of 9 to 5, because of either jadedness (can relate!) or being betrayed by someone (can relate!) or taking it too seriously (can relate!) etc.etc.etc.
Much empathy to all… I’ve been there returned back. I firmly think its something people *need* to go thru… to better fine-tune how they want to accomplish their business today.
*Sure, “follow your passion” is moose by-products if your passion doesn’t end up earning you money.* After all, your business is how you support your living… and if you lack the ability to monetize your passion, you’re up the paddle without any creek in view.

With that out of the way, I will confess I’ve tried a number of different niches, the latest one being the self-confidence niche.
I’ve always returned to marketing, because:
1.) It’s the easiest niche to monetize
2.) I found I liked sharing my self-confidence videos, not making money from them.
And there you have it in a nutshell.
It’s the easiest to monetize for me because I have accepted the fact… a HUGE amount of people buy simply for the buyer’s retail high. They refuse to give themselves permission to actually START on the their own…
… but love purchasing tools for *when* they might consider moving forward.
Some of them do move forward. Bunches don’t.
And you know something?
I’ve been there too (at a much higher price point) and realized as well…. I bought to ensure I’d have the tools… but ended up not doing anything with them.
Am I annoyed? Nope! I, as a buyer, own the fact of both my purchases AND my applications (in this case, non applications).
Moving on.
If you’re feeling schneebly because of how you’re making money, ask yourself:
* What is it that REALLY is bothering you?
Is it how your colleagues do business? If so… you don’t own that.
Is it how your customers refuse to implement what they buy? If so… you don’t own that either.
The ONLY thing you own is:
* Your own actions
* Your own feelings
and that’s IT.
You CANNOT change an industry….
.. but you CAN build the subset tribe of folk who value what you do.
In closing:
You cannot redefine reality. Reality *is* …. no matter how much you might personally decry it.
Your challenge is to accept what is in your reality that makes you *comfortable*… that you can monetize with a clear consciousness…. and go on from there.
