Yep, it is Saturday and I will admit it… it’s been a rough couple of days. 🙁
So sorry about missing the past few days… it’s been really hard.
I’m doing my best to stay positive, and wrote yesterday:
“Another person posted, is 2020 the worst year for you too?
Here’s my answer… and I think it’s worthwhile to post as weell.
So far thanks to social distancing, working from home, doing digital products now for … I forgot how long… this year for my family *personally* is far from the worst.
I, who am hugely introverted, have made great friends with lots of colleagues/peoples online!
Family members with depression have gotten the right meds to help them come out of it (myself included).
I have networked with a tribe of people I would be proud to walk the mountains with and am honored to call them my friends, even if we never met in real life.
My husband and I have been married for 26 years, thru better and thru worse (and the worse was beyond bad)… and we still wouldn’t choose any other person on the face of this planet.
I reconnected with my stepson, his mom and her partner in positive ways.
I have helped several Honorary Lings navigate young adulthood, along with my own kids. Sure, some are finding their own way… but I have 140% confidence in them!
I have learned to proactively tell my family members that I love them! even if it embarrasses them. That way, if I die today… the last thing they’ll have heard from me is the fact – they are loved by *me*.
I have learned to take ‘way more ownership of my own flaws (which included ‘way more passive/aggressiveness with my kids – they now call me out on it and it happens far less).
I have learned to constantly send memes/pictures/try to raise the spirits of those who I know are having a hard time.
My family has taken bunches of precautions so we’re okay … so far.
I know that can change in an instant but for now….
2020 (for me *personally*) is not (yet) the worst I’ve ever had.
Your takeaway? Tomorrow is never promised. Tell the people you love… that you love them.
It’s a good thing to do.”

Yep, it is Wednesday at 11:56pm and I so apologize…
This past week has really been heck for me. 🙁
Lost my drive to do much of anything, really, except keep folks up to date on FB and for that…
I apologize for neglecting so many newsletters. 🙁
I guess I’m human after all… I thought I could handle the sadness but it really did get to me.
However, life does go on (it really does!) and I am trying to re-kindle my drive to be a light that shines for everyone else!
So let’s dive right into it….
I came across this really grand post!
“The reports are that the truckers are getting supplies to the stores. People are stocking the shelves all night and letting old people shop first.
Carnival Cruise line told our president “We can match those big Navy Hospital ships with some fully staffed cruise ships”
GM said hold our cars and watch this; we can make those ventilators where we were making cars starting next week.
Women and children are making homemade masks and handing out snacks to truckers.
Restaurants and schools said, We’ve got kitchens and staff; we can feed kids.”
Churches are holding on-line services and taking care of their members and community. NBA basketball players said, “Hold our basketballs while we write checks to pay the arena staff.”
Construction companies said, “Here are some masks for the medical staff and doctors”.
Breweries are making sanitizer out of the left-over ingredients.
We thought we couldn’t live without Baseball, NASCAR, NBA or going to the beach, restaurants or a bar. Instead, we’re trying to keep those businesses open by ordering take-out.
America is saying “Hey, hold my beer and watch this.”
I think a Japanese Admiral in the middle of the Pacific said it best in 1941, “I think we have awakened a sleeping giant.”
Give us a few more weeks (maybe months) and we will be doing much better! And stop listening to the hysterical media!!
